The City of Winooski echoes a rich industrial history in its architecture of modest, old brick mill buildings. We embraced this distinctive character for the permitting of this urban village renewal by introducing a modern interpretation of the mill city architectural vernacular, pedestrian friendly lanes, green courtyards and a riverside boardwalk. This marriage of new and historic environs, combined with public open spaces is the commercial hub of the neighborhood and tells the story of community development and enhancement through smart economic and social growth.
